The Five Solae
One of the many blessings that came to the church in England out of the Reformation were what are commonly known as the five solae (solas).
Only put together as such in recent years, they are five statements that the Reformers saw as fundamental in distinguishing true Biblical Christianity from the teachings of the church of Rome.
Although the teaching of Roman Catholicism is not a great threat to the church in Britain today, these five nonetheless remain central, vitally important, statements defining some of the most important things we hold dear.
In this brief Summer Break series we will be looking briefly at each.
