Pound Lane Free Church

The generation that rebelled against God when told to enter the land and possess it, after 40 years of forced wandering in the wilderness, have now died. A new generation stands on the very brink of entering the Promised Land, Moses is about to die, but before he does, he has three sermons to preach, and to write down, for these people, and for those who come after them. This book of Deuteronomy records these sermons, given to remind that generation of the things that had happened before they were born, and of the repeated sin of their parents. In it not only does Moses review their historical dealings with God, but goes through the Law of the Covenant under which they were living, and massively amplies it in terms of how they must apply it once they are in the Promised Land.
