The church and evangelism
As the new year opens we start a new expository series on Acts 2 - 12 under the title of "The church and evangelism".
In these explosive opening chapters of the book of Acts which record for us the coming into existance of the New Testament
church by the sovereign work of God through the person of Holy Spirit, these two threads run: The Church and Evangelism.
The two are inseperable. Without evangelism there would be no church for this is God's chosen means to build it, and
evangelism that fails to bring people into the body of the church as well as to personal faith on Jesus Christ fails
in its God given goal.
My prayer is that as we look together at these few chapters we will be set on fire for both. To better conform to the
Biblical pattern of a church AND become more passionate and effective in our evangelism.
