Pound Lane Free Church

The new extension has a welcoming glass entrance (see below) which forms one of the foyer walls.

New glass entrance and shrubery

The lobby and foyer are divided by another completely glass wall, making the building feel welcoming whilst providing an effective sound and heat barrier.

Outside the entrance are several bricked plant beds. On a warm summer Sunday, it makes a nice visual and scented entrance for coming to worship.

In the dark, he foyer and lobby are kept well lit by 21 ceiling mounted halogen lights. During evening winter meetings, the lighting is quite effective.
